OH No - don't like snow, slows up all the traffic in front of me, great fun if there isn't any traffic, maybe I should try driving at 2.30am! - maybe not, although would be warm in my new black & white Bar Humbug hat that my wife so kindly bought me

Cheers, Tim.

Was starting to feel left out not having any of this snow but now it's here and I'm staying in the warm to get some work done at home ... On the LDC Website of course ... then perhaps I will get my cowboy hat and scarf on Very Happy

I like the sound of that! A good outcome of working for a School is that we get snow days, was closed at lunchtime today and been told not to come in tomorrow either .. Wink

Oh the poor Irish, they seem to be cursed with just perpetual Rain
Loads of Snow expected here this Weekend.
We've been more or less spared until now, thank goodness, the stuff belongs on the Mountains not here.
A big plus is that 99% of Drivers fit Winter (Snow) Tyres & the Roads are quickly cleared by an Army of Snow Ploughs & Gritters.
Roll on Spring!

Hear..hear! we've had enough of it already, can't collect my new Lotus tomorrow because of the bloomimg weather . your mention of the snow tyres reminds me of a supplier I used to see in the past who lived and worked in Germany and used to have a set of basic steel wheels with winter tyres and put them on his Mercedes every winter and bombed around Germany & Switzerland without ever getting stuck. Would be a great idea here if it lasted longer and was a regular occurence. The front tyres on my Mazda 6 are well towards the end of their useful life and spin like hell on the least amount of snow or ice!
I'm looking forward to the spring as well
Cheers,
Tim.

Nope no rain, or snow. Just heavy frosts and clear blue skys. (I'm over near the west coast) The east and North of the country have had a fair bit of snow and more is forecast Sunday

Well of course in GB Winter tyres really are a bit of an un-necessary luxury.
They'd probably be beyond their "sell by Date" when the nect dose of Snow arrives.
However I can remember way back when at least the Buses in Bristol were fitted wit Snow Chains.
My Dad & some other thinking Drivers did have Snow Chains also.
He always got to Work 10 Miles away across hilly Bristol.

You might be right John, but I fear it could be the heat from the bedroom, generated by the sunbed or the sauna!

Tim.

I could take the bucket off the front, fit a row of seats and ferry people in and out of my village, good to see its fitted with a roll bar! Could have done with it this morning, couldn't get out of our junction, had three neighbours pushing me away, but flew down the M69 to Leicester in 40 minutes once I got going.
I've always fancied owning a Thwaites dumper , but I prefer a real old one with handle start..maybe one day if I have enough land to need one!
Cheers,
Tim.

A freudian slip maybe John, but no I don't have a sunbed or sauna, no inclination to have either, too many other things I'd rather have!
Cheers,
Tim.
